I the last couple of months Google made significant changes to Google+, YouTube, Google Hangouts and search. Facebook have made changes to profile, pages and Timeline, while LinkedIn have made changes across the platform.
It’s accepted now that as the environment online changes so will Social Platforms and the technology around them.
I watched the movie ‘The Social Network’ last night and a comment that stood out for me was Mark Zuckerberg saying that Facebook will never be finished.
‘It will Never Be Finished’
And that is true of most things. It’s true of personal development, it’s true of our coaching journey, it is true of the planet and life itself.
Mobile technology (IPads, Kindles, phones etc) are taking over as the main way we access the internet. This implies that how we interact with technology, from a mind-set perspective is also changing. How your clients find you and what they are learning to expect is also changing. The global culture is changing.
How switched on to these changes are you?
The internet and mobile technology require that we build our brand, our reputation and our referral base using different techniques, technologies and skills, while remaining true to our voice and our values.
Being aware of the ways you are being represented online is vitally important to maintaining control of your brand and reputation. Being unaware can be fatal to your business success.
Change brings new opportunities
The changes in technology also introduce opportunities to serve clients better; to attract, serve and connect with more people through group coaching and information products; to be who we are as coaches and to market authentically in our niche in ways that have never been possible before.
